Pool, cabana and outdoor kitchen designed as one continuous room with the house, so the summer plan and the winter plan are the same plan.
Most outdoor living gets designed after the house is finished, which is why it so often feels appended. Here the rear of the house, the terrace, the pool and the cabana were drawn together, on one set of levels, with the sightline from the living room running straight through the bifold doors to the water.
The cabana carries a full outdoor kitchen and a fireplace, so the space holds up in October as well as July.
